It is now clear that Barack Obama will become the democratic nominee for the presidential election. Hillary Clinton does not seem to care what is best for the democrats. She believes she is the best person to go up against Mccain, which is fine, but the American people must feel differently since they chose Obama. It sounds to me like she is now just trying to pursue her own agenda, and not doing what is best for the party. If she stays on the path she is on she could split the democratic party which could allow Mccain to just coast into the white house.

The economy is in shambles and gas prices are skyrocketing with no end in sight. Everyone is panicked trying to find a means of transportation that is gas efficient. What if there were a means of transportation that used no gas, produced absolutely no waste, and was healthy for you. Well there is, its called a bike. People overlook the simplicity and conveinience of this two wheeled miracle. People laugh at the thought of riding a bike because they feel it is childish. It is true that bikes are used by children, but there are many adults that ride them too, have you ever heard of Lance Armstrong? All I ask is for people to try riding a bike if they have to go somewhere, who knows they may enjoy it.

In todays day and age it seems that you have to be bombarded with advertisements at least five times a second. Radio today is probably the worst source of advertisements next to TV and internet. Try flipping through every radio station and counting how many are actually playing music, and how many are playing commercials. I can almost guarantee you that most of the stations you pass through will be playing commercials. It’s just annoying to have to listen to analog radio these days. No wonder everyone is going to satellite radio, or just getting MP3 players for there cars. This way you can control what you hear. I don’t care about Dunkin Doughnuts’ new sandwich, and I will freak out the next time John Smith from Nowheresville requests Come Sail Away!

Today is another Monday, and the terrible feeling you get every Monday morning is not a feeling you ever get used to. You have to experience Monday 52 times a year, and each one feels as crappy as the last. You would think you would be able to stand them after a while, but no!

My town was once home to a great Taco Bell, a Taco Bell so magical it could not be described by words alone. It was a sight so beautiful that you could not look upon to long or else you would hurt your eyes. When it was around there was a time of peace, and prosperity. A time when the Chalupas and watered down Pepsi’s were bountiful. This has passed and now the economy is in shambles and there is a time of political unrest in the country. There may just be a connection between the two. Everyone is trying to blame the recession on the Iraq war, but the true reason is that Taco Bell is gone from my town. There was talk of another one being built but that talk has now silenced. Too long my people have suffered the hardships without Taco Bell. My people must pilgrimage in exess of 20 miles to attain the food of the gods. I have a dream, that all towns will not be denied the unalienable right to have a Taco Bell. Who else will heed my call?

I absolutely love having long weekends especially when you get monday off as apposed to friday. Fridays never really feels like a genuine work/school day anyways because your mind is just focused on the weekend ahead. Having Monday off is a feeling completely unparalleled by any other. The only bad that can come of this is when you have lots of work to do the following week when you pine for one more day to get things done. That being said Mondays off can sometimes be a double edged sword.

Today was the first day that I could feel how terrible the Mosquitos were. There is a several week grace period between winter and bug season in which the outdoors feel like paradise. I am sorry to say it, but that grace period has now come to a close, and bugs are in full force. There are all kinds of repelents out there that supposedly keep mosquitos away, but all that it feels like you are doing is coating yourself in a dressing and becoming a bug buffet. I feel the mosquito invasion full force as a result of living next to a vernal pond, and I must say ITS NO PICNIC!

This past weekend I went to the movies excited to see the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones series. I went in with extremely high hopes. The movie however did not deliver. There were many flaws with this movie, in several different areas. First, the story was just to damn far-fetched. All of the other films could never happen in real life, but there was always that little kid inside you saying it could. This movie was a stretch for any imagination. I must say that the most dissappointing aspect of this movie was the lack of Sean Connery, because he could predict the suckiness of this film.

The Red Sox played an incredible game yesterday. It was the type of game that can brighten up anybodys boring monday evening. John Lester pitched a no hitter. The last person to pitch a no hitter was Clay Buckholz, a fellow Sox player. I do not know if any of you fellow wordpressers have ever watched a no hitter occur, but it is quite unbelievable. You start to feel very nervous, you begin to sweat, and you think every pitch the streak will end. Now imagine you are the pitcher! Last night however proved to be just the right circumstances for Lester, a couple amazing catches were made, and it was a night lester will have in his memory forever. I may seem like I am rambling, and that is because I am still buzzing thinking about last nights game.

Recently a statement was released by the NFL stating that there was no new evidence in the New England Patriots Spygate scandal. After all of this time of speculation, and rumors nothing new has been brought to the table. One radio station compared the Patriots controversy to the Geraldo Rivera Al Capone safe incident, in which there was a lot of build up for nothing. An additional issue that was recently brought up involving the Pats is Matt Walsh, and the fact that the press believed him when he had no reason to tell the truth about what was taking place in the organization. Whereas now when Walsh has incentive to tell the truth about the Pats controversial activities, and tells a completely different story the press do not believe him. People just refuse to let this scandal go. The press obviously want to believe the better story, because scandals sell. This whole Spygate incident makes me sick as a Pats fan. The controversy was sparked back up the day of the Super Bowl, and tainted the whole game. All that was keeping this issue going since the Super Bowl is rumors, NOT EVIDENCE. Just leave the Patriots alone, and let them go back to just playing football. Leave rumors to the tabloids, and not to the news.
